The 3 Days Murchison Falls National Park Adventure Safari shall also involve a visit to Ziwa Sanctuary for Rhino tracking. A trek around this sanctuary on foot, gives an insightful feel of the Big Five mammals as it is the Rhinos, out of the big five that are missing in Murchison Falls National Park. With a lot others to offer to the visitors, game drives, a boat cruise to the falls bottom and an excursion at the top of Murchison Falls are just some of the adventurous ways to explore the vast Murchison Falls National Park.
Day 1 – Travel to Murchison Falls National Park, Rhino tracking at Ziwa Sanctuary
Setting off from the hotel shall be at 7.00am using the Kampala-Gulu highway. The journey to Murchison Falls National Park through the famous Luwero triangle and Nakasongora cattle corridor is an experience in itself! Apart from being scenic with the greenery that makes the journey so calming, viewing locals going by their daily life brings the typical African experiences live. Stop at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to track rhinos that are being reintroduced to the wild after years of absence in Uganda. Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park after lunch via Masindi town and access the park through Kichumbanyobo gate. Check into your lodge and rest away the evening or make a brief drive to check on the animals as they wind up their day to prepare for the night’s rest.
Meal plan: Lunch and dinner.
Day 2 – Sunrise game drive and waterfall boat cruise
Early morning safari drives bring you closer to the wonders of the wild so endavour to wake up early for breakfast prior to hitting the game tracks. Usual animal sightings are for herds of elephants, Giraffes, buffaloes, a variety of antelopes, a few primates, hippos at the Albert Delta, many birds, some reptiles, lions, leopards, among others. However, chances on the elusive cats – the lions, leopards, hyenas and some nocturnal species are highest early mornings and late evenings. Return to the lodge after the game drive and rest before lunch. After lunch, go down at Paraa for another exciting adventure - the fabulous boat cruise towards the base of Murchison Falls. The boat cruise betrays many animals not only in water but also at the river banks. Giant crocodiles, hippos, birds and the elephants plus others can be spotted. At a safer distance, the boat shall stop to allow you full view of the roaring falls. After moments of viewing the incredibly powerful waterfalls, return to Paraa and drive back to your lodge.
Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Stand at the rocks near the falls and you will be awed by the huge volume of the Nile waters squeezing through a tiny gorge that is barely 10 metres wide and finally dropping to 45m
below. It’s a unique and breath-taking spectacle! From the top of the falls, get into your safari vehicle and drive out of the park heading back to Kampala with lunch en-route. End of the 3 Days Murchison Falls National Park Adventure Safari.
